One displayed credit is 1,000 integer units. Prices have two transparent components: Data collection is 3 credits per 1,000 employees and Persona matching is 1 credit per 1,000 employees. The minimum billable headcount is 10, so small-company estimates remain nonzero without rounding floats. The free company preflight returns an exact quote before work starts. Explicit confirmation atomically reserves that maximum from Available; it does not yet spend the credits. A published immutable result with named targets captures the quoted components. Failure, cancellation, or no_people_found releases the hold. Poll, History and webhook expose the same billing snapshot.
The confirmed amount is based on the preflight headcount snapshot. Finding more or fewer profiles does not recalculate it after confirmation. If the harvest cannot produce any named target result, the full reservation is released. When your account has a still-valid paid Data snapshot for the same company, another persona search quotes Data collection as included and charges only new Persona matching. Internal cache/provider mechanics are never part of this decision; reuse is determined from your account history. Use GET /v1/account for Balance/Reserved/Available and effective limits. Use cursor-paginated GET /v1/credits for immutable minor-unit events. Every reserve/capture/release carries its durable job or People Search subject. An estimate remains available even when Available is zero. Confirmation locks the wallet and revalidates all concurrent holds; insufficient Available returns 402 insufficient_available_credits with the current wallet, required amount, and shortfall, without creating a job or partial reservation.
